So I created a pyro and its not a bad class.... but weak. I see all these tanks and archers running around killing stuff so fast and not dying.. wanted to see what everyone else is to try and balance the clan a bit.. thoughts?

Play something that your going to enjoy. I went with a Warlock/Necro/Chlr
I cant take very many melee hits as Im weak against it but I good damage over time and range attacks.
Archer's really hurt since they seem to have so much range.
What kind of build do you do with your pyro?

What level are you?
Also you can buy a second role so you can change up your current build.

I really want to run IT but im not sure when I will get home.
Talk to Skeetrok he said he would be around tonight to tank IT.

I am a Warlock,Chloro, necro and i can take about 4-5 mob of my lvl without dying. I usually focus on getting 2-3 mob at the same times and I have no need to regen by drinking after my fight: i use a combinaison of *lifetap* (can't remember the right name) and bloom whih is an instant heal for my spec.
This built is pretty cool for grinding.

I have only played mage briefly but I have a good knack for finding the best in talent builds for max damage output. All builds I create for any class are PvE oriented so don't expect a heap of PvP abilities. Pyro DPS: rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0zqIz.Vz.eftIzusuts.VoxoIf I was to go pyro (and I will sometime soonish once I start a mage) I would go for this build. It has decent crit, all the fire damage enhancing abilities, instant cast procs, decent AoE potential, a shield to absorb damage, instant cast root that lasts 8 seconds and cannot be broken by damage, and great mana regenerating capabilities. Here is another build I was looking at which seemed promising in the mage souls. Warlock DPS: rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0zwvq.xzc.eeRAkqqek.VzThis build has so many goodies for keeping yourself alive while doing damage. I would probably PvP with this build. Plenty of DoTs, single target damage, heavy AoE potential, damage absorption shield, fear, and can convert your pets HP into mana for yourself. Overall it seems like a pretty flexible build. Just thought I would put in my little say Enjoy.

Thanks Soggy thats pretty much the exact build I have going at the moment..
The trouble with pyro is the fact that I can take NO Damage what so ever...
If I run into more than 1 mob/Guardian I am fucked!!!
So soloing/questing is next to impossible and frustrating as hell
But hey put me in a warfront or instance let me stand at the very back and I can burn the hell outta stuff...
As soon as this char hits 50 its reroll time...
Sincerly...

your mage will be good in the high end raids since your dps is wicked good but I feel your pain.

Yeah I think it will be an amazing spec for PvE DPS. Why not try that Warlock build I linked? I have not tried it myself but I can guarantee it will hold its own with all those healing abilities. Also if you wanted you could try factoring in the soul with polymorph into your pyro build so you have more control for multiple pulls while leveling.

Warlock is the closest class to the affliction warlock in WOW, if u liked it u'll probably like to play it in Rift. The 10% chance to get an instant cash is awesome i must say.
